Class Types

Hatha Yoga

A typical Hatha Yoga Class consists of breathing exercises, warming-up, yoga postures and relaxation. More detail you will find here. The Hatha Yoga classes are for people with prior yoga experience. In case you don't have yoga experience, please book an Introduction Course or choose the Gentle Yoga class (see below).

Gentle Yoga

Gentle Hatha Yoga is less intense than Standard Hatha Yoga. It can be very useful for people recovering from injury, those who are in poor physical condition, or those who are simply looking for a more relaxed practice. Gentle Hatha Yoga can also be beneficial to those who are already quite fit but who lack the overall flexibility to be able to do some of the more intense yoga poses.

The way that gentle yoga works without putting any unnecessary strain on the practitioner is by using modifications of Standard Hatha Yoga poses. In addition the pace is more relaxed and there is more time between poses to allow the body to recover.

The Gentle Yoga Classes are for people with and without yoga experience. In case you don't have yoga experience, you could also book an Introduction Course.

Yin Yoga

The Yin classes are open to everybody, whether you have yoga experience or not and whether you have Yin Yoga experience or not. The Yin classes consist only of floor poses and are slow-paced. Like in Hatha classes breathing is important and exercises will be done (often only in the yoga poses). For Yin Yoga you don't need a warming-up. so make sure you wear sufficient layers of clothes to be warm at the beginning of the class. Be however assured, although you don't move a lot in Yin Yoga, you will be (very) warm very soon and then it's good to be able to peel off a layer of clothes.
